We encourage each and every one studying TaNaK to study diligently only the Pashot meaning of the Word first before adventuring into any deeper search of Scripture. It is also encouraged to find someone who can help discuss these meanings who is well versed in Torah and preferably has at least a good knowledge of the usage of Lexicons if not a command of Biblical Hebrew. To that endeavor, we also encourage the seeker of truth to study to become versed in Biblical Hebrew first and Biblical Greek second. Finally. we advise all who love the Word of Yehovah to remember all can and do multiple times make mistakes. This does not exclude the interpretation of Scripture. Keep the mind always open to this inevitability. We all come short.
Each week we read the weekly portion as has been done for hundreds of years. However, we don not necessarily follow exactly the same portion of our brothers. In fact not all synagogues follow the same portion each week. This is because there are 54 portions each agricultural year. This means that if we read a portion each week we will have to double up at least two portions. These doubles are very difficult as they are long. Many double up as many as six portions through out the year. We would rather have a smaller bite each week. So we only double up two during the year. This some times puts us off by a week with w…
